adventX was created with the vision of offering professional training services to people attempting
outdoor adventure sports, events and expeditions.

Our first coaching programs, led by adventX™ founder John Colver, were designed for climbers training for major peaks – including the Seven Summits and Mount Everest.  Our programs have since expanded to include coaching
for many other endurance sports -- marathon and half-marathon running, cycling, triathlon and adventure racing.

We’ve found that there is no single way to approach coaching.  Our first step is to learn about your goals and experiences, so we can then decide how to proceed on
an individualized basis.

Some clients enjoy the gym, some don’t.  Some athletes prefer one-on-one coaching in person, others find it
easier to interface using the internet.  Some desire coaching several times per week, others prefer a single longer session once per quarter.  adventX™ coaching programs have a variety of formats so that we can find a service that suits you best.  

We find ourselves training in the gym, on the trail, and at home.  Coaching meetings can take place at the coffee shop, in the park, in your home, and at the office by telephone.  We find a way to communicate with you that maximizes your time and the quality of your training experience.

The adventX™ training methods follow modern athletic coaching practices, and add a high level of imagination, creativity and real world experience that will help you evaluate your strengths, build a plan, and train diligently towards a defined goal.

Founder and coach John Colver has competed in and been trained as a coach for professional and international cycling events.  He has also served a military officer responsible for preparing and training elite soldiers to the highest standard.  He has worked with climbers training
for all seven summits, with numerous climbers training
for Mount Rainier, and also with climbing guides looking
to stay in shape and study the latest training results and methods.  The adventX™ approach is progressive and confidence building.  Our climbers and endurance
athletes have achieved extraordinary results!

Climbing is a sport that requires us to gain the endurance and strength to climb up, and to come down.  It is
important to develop mental fortitude, and to remain calm in challenging situations.  We support our climbers, and ALL of our athletes, to build their best performance as
they build endurance and gain these attributes.
