Founder and Instructor
John founded adventX in 2002. A climbing coach and guide, he holds certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician, Fitness Instructor, and ‘Leave No Trace’ Wilderness Ethics Instructor. His leadership experiences include serving as a military officer and paratrooper. A former cycling champion and coach, he has also competed in ten marathons and Ironman Canada. In the mountains, he has guided extensively – including several high altitude expeditions on Denali and Cerro Aconcagua. John loves to train! |

Cofounder and Instructor
Jeff is an avid mountaineer, cyclist,
and fitness leader. With TWO successful summits of Mt. Everest
(2008 and 2004), Jeff is the third Canadian in history to complete the “Seven Summits” – the highest mountain on each continent. A true leader on and off the mountain, Jeff is Executive Producer and General Manager of the MSN Media Network.
He has held senior management
roles with Microsoft since joining the company in 1991.

Fitness Director
Tiffany is a graduate of Seattle Pacific
University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. She has a strong background in track & field, and also plays soccer every chance she gets. You’ll find Tiffany leading the way at many of adventX's coaching and fitness programs. |

Sally is a Registered Dietitian with BS Degrees in Nutrition Science and Exercise Physiology, and a MS degree in Nutrition Science. Her work experience includes laboratory research, clinical practice, college instructing, public speaking, and private practice. Sally is a contributing author to the American Dietetic Association

Wendy boasts over a decade of experience in marketing in the health and lifestyle industries. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Management from Duke University, and a BS from Cornell University. Since joining adventX, she has completed the Vancouver and Olympia half-marathons, climbed Mt. Adams, and competed in several triathlons. She is an avid cyclist and backpacker. |

A true multi-sport athlete, Scott has twenty years of experience as a Seattle Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. He is a natural fitness leader whose instructional skills, patience, and confident approach provide support and inspiration to beginners and experts alike. Scott has a passion for outdoor sports, and when not at work, you’ll find him running, cycling, kayaking, hiking, and climbing.

Twenty years of experience in mountain guiding, military work, and fitness training gives Paul a unique combination of skills and knowledge. His experience leading army special forces climbing teams, and his work as operations manager for the American Alpine Institute have contributed greatly to our climbing programs.

Donn is a paramedic, former firefighter, a technical rescue expert, and has served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He
is a two-time Ironman triathlete, and an avid mountaineer. Donn provides support in program development. An expert instructor in high-angle and confined-space rescue, his skills and strong leadership are an invaluable asset to our team.

Guest Instructor
Deb is a true multi-sport athlete. In her career as a professional triathlete, she has consistently finished in top places in both Ironman and Olympic distance triathlons. She won her age group in Ironman Brazil, and boasts a sub-three-hour marathon personal best. As a mountaineer, Deb has climbed major peaks, including Denali, and is a professional guide on Mt. Rainier and Mt. Whitney. Her confidence as an athlete inspires many to achieve their own peak performances.

Walter combines experience as a professional mountain guide with his extensive studies in Exercise Science. He has earned a BS in Biology from
the University of Kentucky, and an MS
in Exercise Physiology from the University of Montana. Walter is researching endurance performance and conditioning for the United States Air Force. |
